Hello everyone. I wanted to share what could quite possibly be the future for book covers, especially considering the surge of eReaders.

The awesome people at MIRA Ink have released the animated book jacket for their latest release, My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent. MIRA Ink are the first YA publishers to create an animated book cover and aside from having one of my favourite catalogues of books, they really are at the forefront of publishing innovation.

It’s really atmospheric and I love how the smoke moves in the background. If I didn’t already love this series, I think that this cover would definitely make me want to pick it up!
