Natasha’s Top Ten Paranormal Creatures
Natasha here with my top ten Paranormal creatures:
1. Wizards
Having grown up reading the Harry Potter series, this is something I’ve always loved, and wanted to be! I love that wizards are typically normal looking people, living semi-normal lives but they have all this power available to them. Everything that involves wizards tends to be brilliant.
2. Faeries/Pixies
My love of faeries stems from my love of Disney. These beautiful tiny creatures remind me of my childhood. I love Disney’s premise that the faeries control the seasons, interact with animals and have gorgeous wings that allow them to fly – who wouldn’t want that!
3. Vampires
As much as I love Twilight, I’m more a fan of the classic vampire. Ancient creatures who lust for blood and have the ability to attract and manipulate humans into lusting after them and following their commands – it a terrifying thought.
4. Dragons
I love a dragon’s strength and power – they have their own in-built armour, the ability to fly, and the amazing defence of breathing fire. They are beautiful but dangerous creatures, with individual personalities – like us!
5. Greek Gods
I love the Greek Gods and anything that includes them. Each one controls an element or influences different aspects of human life. To have their powers and be immortal, living in the heavens, sounds fantastic!
6. Werewolves
To me, this is one of the scarier supernatural creatures. A normal human, living a normal life, until the full moon, when they turn into horrifying creatures, that attack and eat humans. The scariest part is there is no warning, until the change beings to take place – then you’re too late!
7. Elves
When I say elves, I don’t mean house elves like Dobby in Harry Potter. Elves are immensely powerful and are such proud, noble creatures. They live to protect and preserve their heritage and their own kind – I think this is something that we could learn from them…
8. Mermaids
How good would it be to be able to explore the ocean floor and make friends with the fishes? It’s for this thought alone that mermaids are included in my top ten!
9. Ghosts
The best thing about ghosts is their ability to stay invisible, for you to see them, they have to want to be seen – a skill that would be great in day to day life. Also, you don’t know what you’re getting, unlike typical horror creatures. They could be good or bad, meaning you could be tormented beyond belief in such an unpredictable way or you could make a friend – like the ghosts in Harry Potter or Casper!
10. Zombies
The thought of a virus that causes humans to want to eat each other, a virus that spreads so fast, would be a nightmare for anyone. The only downside for me is that they are so slow, so easily avoidable, it takes some of the horror out of it.
